In April 2005, a valued member of the PRC was honored for her contributions to this community. She was presented with The Junior League Volunteer Award by the organization's Long Island chapter.
Our congratulations go out to Lesley, as well as a thank you for all her great work. Below is the letter that was sent by the PRC Board to nominate Lesley for this award.
Lesley Siegel has been an active member of the Board of Director of the Parent Resource Center (PRC) for six years. In that time she co-chaired the volunteer committee, co-chaired the fundraising and events committee and is currently coordinating the PRC winter concert series and the summer sundown series. Additionally Lesley catalogs and scans the PRC's photographs and assists with the production of our semi-annual newsletter.
A devoted mother of three boys, Julian, 7, Jonas, 4 and Stephen, 1 1/2 years, Lesley is an outstanding volunteer not only for her role on the Board of Director's, but even more than that, Lesley is someone who never says "no" to helping. Because she offered, Lesley now designs and prints (or paints) all our posters, flyers and banners; and sends all the PRC broadcast e-mails. Lesley is that exemplary person who steps up to help whenever help is needed. No task is too small or too large for her capable hands. She freely gives of her time and energy every day. Lesley's commitment to the PRC is boundless and she deserves our public thanks.
