Setting Limits: Is it our Challenge or Theirs?

This discussion applies to parents of children of all ages and will include: setting limits with our children, why parents have difficulty saying no, addressing your child’s needs and wants while remembering your own.

Sibling Rivalry: Am I My Brother’s Keeper?

Working with daily challenges for parenting, we often have to manage conflicts which result from our various children’s needs . We will discuss approaches and techniques to facilitate parenting each of our children to develop their strengths while promoting care & understanding for the family unit.

Both are taught by Stephanie Roth, LCSW, a Port mother of three. She currently works as a child and family therapist and School Social Worker. Ms. Roth earner her experience as a clinical therapist at the Mental Health Counseling Center at South Nassau Community Hospital, Long Island Jewish Medical Center and as a director of several adult day care programs for individuals and families.

 

All Parent University sessions are free for Parent Resource Center members and $10 for non-members.
