Tiina has been a PRC member for the past 2 years and also actively volunteers in our OR program. She is a mom of 2, and is expecting her third baby in July :) Tiina and Sandy will be working with contacts at the PWPL to avoid programming conflicts, and to keep the library informed of special PRC events, and vice versa.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Ashelee Morrow, who has fulfilled this responsibility for the past year. Ashelee and her family are relocating and we will miss them very much! Good luck, Ashelee, and thanks for all your hard work!
In April 2007, Patty Atkins, a valued member of the PRC Board, was honored with The Junior League Volunteer Award by the organization's Long Island chapter for her contributions to the community.
Our congratulations go out to Patty, as well as a thank you for all her great work.

On Friday, April 28th, the PRC hosted its biggest fundraising benefit of the year, A Night in the Piazza, at the Romantico of Capri restaurant in Port Washington. The event honored beloved children's musician and songwriter, Jeff Sorg, for his ten years of service to the PRC and successfully raised thousands of dollars to support the PRC's Outreach Program. Thanks to all who attended and to those who worked so hard to make it a success.
Please stop by the office and help us welcome our new Executive Director, Sandy Ehrlich. Sandy's relationship with the PRC goes back to the early 1990s, when she joined the Board of Directors. She served as Vice President of Communications from 1992 to 1993 and President of the Board from 1993 to 1995. Since then, she has continued to be a leader in our community, and we are so pleased that she has brought her talents and skills back to the PRC. Welcome, Sandy!
Julie we will miss you, good luck in your future endeavors.
