I hope all the members of the PRC community had a joyous holiday season. After all the busy-ness in December, it's always nice to slow down a bit as we prepare for Spring. In the Fall we introduced the new "look" for the PRC and we continue to evolve by creating new programs to better serve our members. Saturday Sports, Storybook Chefs and Painting are just a few of the exciting new classes being offered. For adults, we have some new art classes while still offering some old favorites like Scrapbooking and Cardio Blast. We're always looking for new ideas, so let us know if there is a particular class you'd like us to offer.
I'm particularly excited about a very special program that we are offering for the first time for expecting parents. A lot of research and thought went into its development and we think it serves a part of our community that otherwise may not have known about the PRC. The program is taking shape and more details will be available in the coming weeks.
Don't forget our fun parents-only social events -the Progressive Dinner and Gala are opportunities to meet other PRC parents while enjoying great food and drink. Tom and I always enjoy making new friends and catching up with old friends at these parties.
For all of us the PRC is a special place -a place where we can meet new friends, have fun with our children and develop lasting relationships in our community. This Spring we have a renewed focus on increasing our membership. Our members are the heart and soul of the PRC and they enjoy great benefits Ðreduced class fees, drop-off childcare, and early registration, but most importantly they become part of the PRC community which provides support and fun as we all navigate through this thing they call ÒparenthoodÓ. We hope to see our membership continue to grow!
Finally, I wanted to thank all our volunteers. We had many successful Fall events thanks to your hard work. I also wanted to thank the entire PRC community. We had an impressive turn out at the Pride in Port parade and our Halloween Fest. It's inspiring to see the support that you all give to the PRC.
