Please read the following carefully as our policy has changed this semester. To ensure that all members are treated equitably, we strictly enforce these rules:
The PRC is a not-for-profit cooperative and members are required to volunteer a minimum of five hours per year to help run our programs and events. Volunteering is designed to be flexible based on your availability and child care needs. In many cases you can work from home and/or bring your children with you. Member participation is a great way to meet other parents, share your unique skills and talents and make a difference in your community. Lifetime members whose children are not in classes, and sustaining members, do not have a member participation obligation.

With our $350 lifetime membership, you get all of the benefits of annual membership without paying our $85 annual fee. Plus, you will receive a PRC t-shirt, a $25 drop-off childcare coupon and a family pass to one Sundown Series or Winter Concert event of your choice. Please note that the lifetime membership is non-retroactive, non-refundable and non-transferable.

All of the exclusive benefits of membership, with the exception of reduced children’s class fees and discounts on events and birthday parties. A great option for families who want to take advantage of PRC benefits but do not have children currently enrolled in PRC classes.
Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis beginning on December 17, 2012 for members and January 14, 2013 for non-members. Checks should be made payable to the Parent Resource Center. MasterCard and Visa are also accepted.
Refer a friend to the PRC and receive a $20 PRC Credit when that individual joins. PRC Credits can be used towards classes, children’s events, and childcare.
A 20% discount off of the full member or non-member registration fee is given for more than one child (from the same family) registering for the same class. There is a 10% discount for each class after the first class is paid in full. This applies to different children in different classes (from the same family).
If your child is not able to attend a session, please call the PRC office. You will be allowed to make up the missing session, if there is space available at another session of the same program.
In the event of a teacher absence, the PRC will attempt to find a substitute. Otherwise, the class will be cancelled and session length extended. Participants will be notified of cancellation by phone and information will be posted on Facebook. If a class is cancelled, members can still come to the PRC for drop-in free play during the scheduled class time. If a class cannot complete the session length, credits will be issued at the end of the semester.
Class fees are non-refundable after the 3rd week of class. There are no refunds for missed classes. Makeups are possible, call the office for details. Refunds can be done 1) If requested before the first class 2) the PRC cancels a class due to insufficient registration and there is no other acceptable substitution 3) the teacher determines that the class is inappropriate for your child. If a class is unable to complete its full run due to weather, holidays or teacher illness (if a suitable substitute teacher cannot be hired), refunds will be issued at the end of the semester.

PRC members are required to volunteer at least 5 hours a year. If you are unable to volunteer, you can pay an annual fee of $125, in addition to your membership fee and class fees.
If you have not fulfilled your yearly volunteer requirement and did not pay in lieu of volunteering at the time of registration, you will be billed $150 at the end of your membership year.
Email is the primary communication method for the PRC. Class cancellations, program changes, upcoming events and volunteer opportunities will be communicated via email and Facebook. Please make sure the PRC office has your current email address and that emails from info@parentresource.org do not go to your SPAM folder. If you prefer another method of communication, please let the office know.
The parking lot at the Landmark on Main Street is reserved for the staff of the tenant organizations. Please use on-street parking when you come for your classes.
If your child is in a “drop-off” class and is going to be picked up by anyone other than his or her parent or usual caregiver, then an email must be sent to info@parentresource.org. We cannot release your child to anyone, even another parent in class, without your express authorization.
To insure a safe and healthy environment for your children and our staff, please do not bring your child to class if he/she has any of the following symptoms within the past 24 hours – vomiting, fever of 100 degrees or above, diarrhea/illness, undiagnosed rash, runny nose, or discharge in and around the eye(s).
There will be no outdoor play on days when there is a weather advisory issued by the National Weather Service. This includes all days when there is either severe heat or severe cold.
