Infant/Child Safety

Would you know what to do if your infant or child were choking, stopped breathing, or became suddenly injured or ill? Learn basic First Aid, lifesaving skills, childproofing your home and CPR.

Led by Georgina Silva, RN, Certified CPR Instructor (AAST), participants will receive training in: recognizing an emergency and calling 911, CPR for adults, children, and infants, how an AED works, and what a BVM is. Demonstration and hands-on practice will be provided.

Class will conclude with a written exam (80% minimum to pass) and skills check (3 minutes of sustained CPR on adult/child and infant manikins). Upon successful completion, AAST Certification is available for a $25 additional fee.
